R. Scott Bakker

Richard Scott Bakker ( born February 2, 1967 in Simcoe, Ontario ) is a Canadian fantasy author.

Bakker grew up the son of a tobacco planter. He studied at the University of Western Ontario English Language and Literature. He also has a master's degree for Theory and Criticism. Bakker then spent some time in Nashville to do a doctorate at the local Vanderbilt University in philosophy, but currently lives in London, Ontario.

Bakker is the author of the fantasy trilogy The Prince of Nothing ( in Germany The War of the Prophets, published by Klett- Cotta ), which was very well received by critics. From the subsequent trilogy entitled The Aspect- Emperor The Judging Eye Volume 1 and Volume 2 The White Luck Warrior appeared. The band 3 (Approximate Title The Unholy Consult) is in preparation. Similarly, Bakker 2008, a science fiction novel published ( Neuropath ).
