Racing Destruction Set

Racing Destruction Set, released in 1985 by Electronic Arts, was one of the first computer racing games where you put together the track itself, select the equipment of the race car is relatively free and could influence other environmental conditions. So could the racetrack mud and Eisabschnitte well as ramps and intersections included. Gravity could be set as on the Moon or Jupiter and cars, or motorcycles, be equipped with different tires.

Advantage of their own created race routes could be impressive billiards, or the spectacular flight of a vehicle into the landscape. On the other hand, watching the spectacular landings in the landscape lead to crashes of the program, in which the lifting of the vehicles was presented by the track over and over again.

For voltage ensured split-screen technology and the ability to exclude the enemy with oil spills or mines "brake".

The game was programmed by Rick Koenig along with the graphical support of Connie Goldman and music by David Warhol. It was published among other things for the home computers from Atari and the Commodore C64.
