Rade Mijatović

Rade Mijatovic ( Serbian Cyrillic Раде Мијатовић; * June 30, 1981 in Sombor, SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Montenegrin handball player.

Career

Association

The 1.92 m wide and 98 -kg goalie played for Serbian clubs RK Vojvodina Novi Sad and RK Partizan Belgrade. In 2006 he moved to the Spanish Liga ASOBAL to BM Altea, but returned after one season to RK Red Star Belgrade. After further stops in Spain at CB Cantabria Santander, BM Alcobendas, Toledo BM and BM Antequera he joined in 2012 the Belarusian HC Dinamo Minsk, with whom he won the league and cup double. Since 2013 he is the Macedonian club RK Metalurg Skopje under contract. In the EHF Champions League 2013/14, he qualified for the knockout stages.

National

Rade Mijatovic is in the squad of the Montenegrin national team, so at the European Championships in 2014, where he was eliminated in the first round. At the World Championships in 2013, he landed on the 22nd place. In 2008 he reached the 12th place in the European Championship. Previously, he played 42 international matches.
