Radical consonant
Radical denotes a sound in phonetics, which is the root of the tongue (Latin radix linguae ) is formed as an articulation organ.
The root of the tongue can only constrict the flow of air in the throat and thus form pharyngale consonants:
- [ ħ ] voiceless pharyngeal fricative
- [ ʕ ] Voiced pharyngeal fricative
