The Radisson Blu Hotel Tallinn is a 104 meter tall hotel in the Estonian capital Tallinn. The building was since 2001, apart from the church towers, the tallest of the city until it was surpassed by the Swissôtel building with its 117 m in 2007.

Location

The hotel is located 900 meters from the Town Hall Square ( Town Hall Square ), about 1 km from the tourist harbor and about 4 km from Tallinn Airport. It has 280 rooms.

History

The building was built in 1999-2001 by Finnish and Estonian firms. The ceremonial opening of the hotel under the name Radisson SAS took place on 1 February 2001. 2010 the hotel was renamed as part of the Radisson Blu chain in Radisson Blu Hotel, Tallinn.

The project was supported by the Estonian architects Vilen Künnapu, Ain Padrik and their Finnish colleagues, led by Kari Mökkälä.

Among the prominent overnight guests included Bill Clinton, Jiang Zemin, Jacques Chirac, George W. Bush, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Hillary Clinton, Alice Cooper, David Beckham.
