Rádlo

Rádlo ( German Radl ) is a municipality in Okres Jablonec nad Nisou in the Liberec Region, Czech Republic. It is located above the valley of Mohelka in Jeschke Mountains.

History

The first written mention dates from the year 1419th At that time sold the monastery in Mnichovo Hradiště the parish Rychnov with the community Rádlo to Henry of Wallenstein.

The original Czech community got through immigration and assimilation probably from the 18th century, a German majority. In the census in 1930 were from back then in 1737 a population of 61 Czechs.

The inhabitants lived mainly from agriculture and livestock. In the 19th century a number of smaller industrial firms, especially in textiles and jewelery emerged. Radl made ​​from the mid-19th century, a municipality in the district court Jablonec nad Nisou.

1938 Kohlstatt ( Milíře ), which was part of the community Hermannsthal until then, umgemeindet by Radl. After the expulsion of the German population 1945/46, mainly Czechs settled from the interior; However, the population has remained well below pre-war levels.
