Radonia, Silesian Voivodeship

Radonia ( German Radun ) is an Upper Silesian village in the municipality Wielowieś, powiat Gliwice in Silesian Voivodeship in Poland.

From 1936 to 1945 Radonia bore the official name Zwieborn.

Radonia has 457 inhabitants. Radonia forms a mayor's office. The village mayor is Pelagia Burda.

History

Radun was first mentioned in 1228 as a possession of the monastery Czarnowąsy.

1939 Zwieborn 637 inhabitants.

In 1945 Zwieborn under Polish administration.

From 1975 to 1998 Radonia lay in the newly designed Katowice Voivodeship. In 1999, Radonia the new Silesian Voivodeship and in the revived powiat Gliwice.
