Raimundo Orsi

Raimundo Bibian " Mumo " Orsi ( born December 2, 1901 in Avellaneda, Argentina; † 6 April 1986) was an Argentine- Italian football player.

The striker Mumo Orsi began in 1920 at CA Independiente. With the Argentina national team in 1928, he came to Europe at the Summer Olympic Games in Amsterdam, where his team won the silver medal behind Uruguay. After the Olympics, he remained in Europe until 1935 and played for Juventus. With the legendary Juve team of Quinquennio d' Oro he was at that time five times Italian champion. In 1929, the Italian -born Orsi was naturalized in Italy and launched from now on for the Italian national football team. With the Football World Cup 1934 in Italy, he had scored three goals and was instrumental in the first world title for Italy. In 1935, he returned to America and played back again for Independiente, as well as for Peñarol Montevideo and Flamengo Rio de Janeiro.
