Ralf Göthel

Ralf Göthel is a former German biathlete.

Ralf Göthel competed for Dynamo Cínovec. He won in 1981 in Lahti at the Junior World Championships with Frank -Peter Steffen Lindau Roetsch and the title in the relay race, he could repeat in 1982 in Minsk with Roetsch and Holger Wick. He also won in two years the title in the sprint and bronze in 1981 and silver in 1982 in singles. National in 1983, he won his first title with the squadron, 1984, he repeated this success as well as 1985 and 1986. 1987 he won Season bronze. In 1985 he was also behind Roetsch vice champion in singles. It was also Göthels internationally successful year. In the Biathlon World Championships 1985 in Ruhpolding, he won Sehmisch André, Matthias Jacob, and Frank -Peter Roetsch behind the season of the Soviet Union the silver medal. In individual he missed in fourth place just another medal.

1986 Ralf Göthel was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.
