Ralf Haber

Ralf Haber ( born August 18, 1962 in Altenburg ) is a German track and field athlete and Olympian, who - starting for the GDR - belonged in the 1980s to the world's best hammer throwers. His greatest achievement is the bronze medal at the World Championships in 1987.

Life

He reached the fourth place in the European Junior Championships in 1981. In 1983 he competed at the World Championships, but different in qualifying without a valid experiment from. At the European Championships in 1986 he came to Stuttgart to sixth place (78.74 m).

1987 was his most successful year. At the World Championships in Rome, he won bronze (invalid - 77.92 to 78.94 - 79.18 to 80.76 m - 78.78 ). It was also Haber second at the European Cup in Prague.
