Ralf Palik

Ralf Palik ( born September 2, 1990 in Erlabrunn ) is a German luger.

The sport soldier Palik operates the luge since 2002. He starts for the club WSC Erzgebirge Oberwiesenthal. Palik belongs to the B2- squad of the German Bobsleigh and Luge Federation. In the German Cup in 2010 and 2011, he finished in sixth place, respectively, in 2012 he improved to fifth place. In January 2011, he debuted on his home track in Altenberg, where he was sixth at once, in the Luge World Cup. In the overall World Cup of the season 2010/2011 he finished in spite of this single mission in World Cup race with 50 points to 38th place. Since the winter of 2011/2012 Palik regularly takes part in World Cup races. With the second place on the track in Winterberg 21 January 2012 he succeeded the first time a podium finish. His first World Cup victory, he was on February 9, 2013 win in the Team Relay in Lake Placid.
