Ralf R. Ollertz

Ralf R. Ollertz (born 1964 ) is a German composer and, together with Toula Limnaios, artistic director of the dance hall theater in Berlin. Both founded in 1996 cie. toula limnaios and opened in 2003 with the dance hall stage whose Berlin Berlin venue.

Life

Ralf R. Ollertz studied composition, electro-acoustic music, piano and conducting at Nuremberg and Dusseldorf. In 1988 he became musical director at the Wuppertal theater. A scholarship enabled him to study composition with Salvatore Sciarrino in Italy. He then continued his studies at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen and graduated with the artistic maturity exam in composition with Nicolaus A. Huber and electro-acoustic music with Dirk Reith. He founded the new music ensemble go ahead and worked extensively with visual artists. He wrote and produced radio plays with the authors Clarence Barlow and Hartmut Geerken and spent three years as musical director of Claudia Lichtblau. In March 2002 its co-wrote with Willy thumb opera was premiered carcrash at the Staatsoper Hannover and resumed in 2006 at the Stuttgart State Opera. Since 1996, he co-chairs with Toula Limnaios the cie. toula limnaios and since 2003 the hall dance theater in Berlin. He wrote in the last few years in addition to chamber and orchestral music and electro-acoustic music and radio plays for which he has received numerous international awards and scholarships. Tours, radio and television productions have taken him so far through Europe, South America, the USA, Japan and Australia.
