Ralph T. O'Neal

Ralph Telford O'Neal (* December 15, 1933 on Virgin Gorda ) is the reigning since August 23, 2007 Chief Minister of the British Virgin Islands. He had already been held this office from 1995 to 2003.

Life

O'Neal, who trained as a lawyer at the University of Oxford, is a member of the British Virgin Islands Bar Association, although he never practiced within the area of the islands. In addition, he is considered one of the largest landowners of the state. In the early 1990s, he worked alongside his ministers in the cabinet of activity Lavity Stoutt also an advisor to the Shell Corporation. He wears the Order of the British Empire and is one of the Virgin Islands Party, whose chairman he is.
