Ram Oren

Life

Oren was born in Tel Aviv. His first experience in a newspaper publisher, he collected as a 15- year-old messenger of the newspaper Jedi'ot Aharonot, from 1952 to 1955 he was the correspondent. From 1955 to 1958 he was reporter for the weekly newspaper Bamahane the Israeli army. At the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, he studied from 1958 to 1963 law. From 1964 to 1994, he worked again for Jedi'ot Aharonot, including as chief reporter in New York. In 1994 he published his first novel, Seduction. In 1996 he founded the publishing house Keshet. 2010 appeared in German translation by Evelyn Reuter For you I dared. A child, a promise and a dramatic rescue on Gertrude Bablinska who saved a Jewish boy entrusted to her before the Holocaust.

Publishers Weekly described him as the " Israeli [n ] John Grisham ." He is one of the most successful best-selling authors of Israel. His novel Pituy (Seduction) was filmed in 2002 by Eran Riklis.
