Description

Ramalina fraxinea is a fruticose, so grown only in one place with the pad. Your largely rigid bearing sections are gray to yellow-green, flat to rinnig, broadband- shaped, 2-25 mm wide and 2-20 cm long. They are often pitted to Rippig. Top and bottom are the same design and color. The frequent in well-developed specimens apothecia are edge - or surface- ever, occur on both sides of cloth, have a diameter of 2 to 10 mm and are pale yellowish to greenish gray. Soralia missing, small bright Pseudocyphellen other hand, are usually present.

Dissemination

Ramalina fraxinea inhabited bark of mostly free-standing, old deciduous trees ( such as ash, poplar or lime ). The species occurs in Central Europe only locally common, because of their high sensitivity to air pollutants is often missing, especially in deeper, more densely populated locations or only dwarfish developed.
