Rami Gershon

Rami Gershon (Hebrew רמי גרשון ) ( born August 12, 1988 in Rishon LeZion ) is an Israeli football player. He plays since 2010 for Standard Liège in the Jupiler Pro League, the highest Belgian league.

Career

Gershon began his career in the youth team of Hapoel Rishon LeZion, of which he was brought into the first team in 2008. In his first season the ascent of the third highest Israeli league in the second highest, the League Leumit succeeded.

He was then awarded to Standard Liege in Belgium. His debut in the Jupiler Pro League was the center-back 21 February 2010 against FC Bruges. He also came in a play-off game for the Europa League to use. His debut at European club level was the Israeli on 18 February 2010 against FC Red Bull Salzburg in the second round of the Europa League, when he came on in the 85th minute for Sébastien Pocognoli. The game was won 3-2. In the next round against Panathinaikos, he also came to use. They later divorced in the quarter- finals and was in the championship eight in the regular season and second in Group B at the Europa League play-off.

In the summer of 2010, he was finally obliged by default. From Les Rouches he was then loaned to KV Kortrijk. In January 2013, Gershon was awarded to Celtic Glasgow, which also secured a purchase option.

In 2010, he debuted in the Israeli national team.
