Ramosetron is a serotonin 5 -HT3 antagonist used to treat nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy and after (PONV ). Ramosetron has a higher affinity for the 5 -HT receptor as ondansetron, granisetron and tropisetron. Furthermore ramosetron is used for treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.

Ramosetron is currently only available in Japan, in certain countries of Southeast Asia and India. In Japan it is sold under the trade name Irribow (イリボー) marketed as a tablet ( 2.5 or 5 micrograms per tablet, treatment of irritable bowel syndrome ) .. In India it is under the name Nozia ( to treat nausea and vomiting), and IBSet (used to treat sold by diarrhea in the case of irritable bowel syndrome ) and in the remaining areas under the name Nasea, usual strengths are 300 Mikrogramm/2ml solution for injection or 100 micrograms per tablet.
