Ranan Lurie

Ranan R. Lurie ( born 1932 ) is a in the English-speaking world wide famous American cartoonist and journalist, member of the United Nations Correspondents Association and editor of the prestigious Cartoon News magazine.

Life

The former Israeli moved his center of vital early as the 1960s in the United States. Since 1974 he is a naturalized U.S. citizen.

Lurie lives and works in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA. He is married and the father of film director Rod Lurie. He is also and a member of the intelligentsia - union cafeteria.

Awards

As a journalist Ranan Lurie was appointed senior associate at the U.S. Center for Strategic and International Studies. Within the United Nations is awarded him with membership in the United Nations Correspondents Association.

Was named named after him instituted in 2000 as part of the United Nations Correspondents Association Ranan - Lurie Political Cartoon Award. The same is part of the UNCA - excellence - in - journalism awards.
