Range Murata

Renji "Range" Murata (Japanese村田 莲 尔Murata Renji, born October 2, 1968 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese illustrator and designer, known for its combination of Art Deco and Japanese anime elements. He gained great fame through the conceptual design for the anime series Last Exile and Blue Submarine No.. 6

He began his career in the early 1990s with the design for video game productions.

He has published more than a dozen books, some of the most respected are rule, futurhythm, and robot as a publisher. He also received the 2006 Seiun Award in the category " Best Artist of the Year".
