Rania Zeriri

Rania Zeriri ( born January 6, 1986 in Enschede) is a Dutch pop singer. She is best known as a participant in the fifth season of the talent show Germany sucht den Superstar which aired from January to May 2008 of the television station RTL.

Career

Rania was born as the daughter of an Algerian immigrant and a Dutch woman. Your school with attainment of GCSEs followed a training for Hotelanimateurin in Salamanca (Spain). Subsequently, she worked mainly in Ibiza and Fuerteventura as Promoterin and entertainer. With appearances in hotels, she gained her first stage experience. In summer 2007 she participated in the organized Ibiza Casting for RTL show Germany seeks the superstar part. There they pressed forward to the final round and moved in preparation for her mother in Gronau - Epe ( Westphalia). Initially a favorite of the producer and jury member Dieter Bohlen, this later criticized her vocal qualities. Rania Zeriri came up in the round of the last five, where she retired.

Seven months after her retirement she published after the two finalists Thomas Godoj and Fady Maalouf as a third participant in the fifth season in November 2008 its own single titled Crying Undercover with which she made the leap into the German single charts. In 2010 she began studying at the conservatory of her hometown Enschede. She also works as a reporter for the regional television Enschede TV.
