Rasmus Stjerne

Rasmus Stjerne (born 26 May 1988 in Hvidovre ) is a Danish curler.

Career

Stjerne has participated in five World Junior Curling Championships. In 2004 and 2005 he participated as a third for Skip Kenneth Jørgensen. In the years 2006, 2007 and 2008, he took over as skip his team participated in the Junior World Championships and achieved positions five, four and seven. In 2009 he finished with his team round-robin as the second- placed and won the final against the team from Canada.

Stjerne took part in the 2010 Curling European Championship and reached with his team by defeating the team of Christof Schwaller the final. There he was beaten 3-5 against Norway under Thomas Ulsrud.

In the national decision in Denmark to participate in the Curling World Championships 2011 he had against his father, Tommy Stjerne admit defeat, but traveled as a trainer with. In the same year he again took part in the Curling European Championship 2011, but was in a 3 vs. 4, the team led by Jiri Skip Snítil not defeat. He won but then in the match for the bronze medal 9-6 against the Czech team of Jiri Snítil.

At the European Championships in 2012 and 2013, and the World Championship in 2013, he reached the fourth place and qualified for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

Personal

Stjernes father Tommy Stjerne also plays curling and won at the Curling World Cup 1990 bronze medal.
