Rav Jonah

R. Jonah was an amora of the fifth generation in Palestine and lived and worked in the fourth century AD.

He was a pupil of Jeremiah and Helas.

Jonah and Jose II were around 350, the heads of the yeshiva in Tiberias during the time of Ursicinus (since 351 commander of Gallus, commander and co-emperor Constantius in the East). His son and successor was Mani II.
