Real Club de Polo de Barcelona
The Real Club de Polo de Barcelona is a 1897 established traditional sports club in the Catalan metropolis Barcelona. Located in the heart of the city near the Camp Nou club has around 10,000 members. As a sports riding, polo, hockey, tennis and Pádel offered. In the Summer Olympics 1992, the equestrian events were held on the 29 -hectare area of the club, which alongside the equestrian stadium among other things, a polo field, three artificial turf hockey courts, 37 tennis courts and a hockey hall. Throughout history, the club was able to send 48 athletes to the Olympic Games.
Hockey
As of 1907, was played at RC de Polo hockey and finally anchored in 1914 as a department. The men's team is one of the top Spanish teams, only Atlètic Terrassa and Club Egara have won more Spanish Cups. The greatest success for playing in white shirts with blue- red chest ring and blue pants RC de Polo, the profit of the Euro Hockey Club Champions Cup 2004 finals on its own system with 1-0 win over Club an der Alster there. In the debut season 2007/2008 of the Euro Hockey League, the team reached after preliminary round victories over Royal Antwerp and HC Dinamo Elektrostal the knockout stages in which almost got the upper hand in the Spanish domestic duel Atlètic Terrassa.
