Rebecca Marino

Rebecca Marino ( born December 16, 1990 in Toronto ) is a Canadian former tennis player.

Career

Marino, which began with ten years of playing tennis, loves to play on hard courts. She won two tournaments of the ITF Women's Circuit singles in five and in doubles.

Her biggest success on the WTA Tour in 2011 she celebrated when she moved at the indoor tournament in Memphis (Category International) to the final. In the match against Magdalena Rybáriková they had then, however, after the first sentence to give up due to injury. Her best performance at a Grand Slam tournament she achieved at the 2010 U.S. Open. As a qualifier she reached there the second round, where she defeated Venus Williams with 6:73, 3:6.

In February 2013 Marino ended her career. She justified her pace so that she could no longer withstand the pressure of negative public comments and violent hostility in social networks.
