Trecastagni
Trecastagni is a city in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, with 10,601 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Trecastagni located 15 km north of Catania on the southern slope of Mount Etna. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture and in quarries.
Borders the following municipalities: Pedara, San Giovanni la Punta, Viagrande and Zafferana Etnea.
History
The Year of the place is unknown. The town was on an important transportation hub between the municipalities Pedara, Nicolosi and Viagrande.
