Rebecca Martin

Rebecca Martin ( born April 24, 1969 in Portland, Maine) is an American folk and jazz singer and songwriter.

Martin founded in the early 1990s with Jesse Harris formation Once Blue and recorded a first album. 1998 her solo album Thoroughfare. Your 2002 released album Middle Hope Nham the New York Times list of their top ten jazz albums of the year; Followed in 2004, People Behave like ballads on the label MAXJAZZ. In 2005, she worked at the Paul Motian album On Broadway, Vol 4 or the Paradox of Continuity with. In addition to her musical career Rebecca Martin works as Executive Director of the Kingston Land Trust in the Hudson Valley. She lives in Newburgh (New York ), where she is active as a community activist since 2002.
