Reckange-sur-Mess

Reckingen / measurement ( Luxembourgish Reckeng op of the measurement, French Reckange- sur-Mess ) is a municipality in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in the canton Esch -sur-Alzette.

The community Reckingen / measurement consists of the following villages:

History

The village Reckingen, those of the present main village of the municipality was founded in the 10th century. Until the French Revolution, the villages of the current Reckingen belonged to different " houses" and the monasteries Munster and Marienthal. Since 1784, the community existed in its current form. But between 1823 and 1856 belonged to the stretching Leudelingen Inger community.

Lollingen and Rüssingen

Lollingen ( Lallengerhaff ) was the seat of a knight family. This transferred their ownership of the Marienthal monastery. Today there are no remains of the " Lallengerhaff " more.

Rüssingen is an extinct since the 17th century village that was near Reckingen. Until the 18th century was only the church, but this fell apart last also. Until recently recalled a cross on the former site.
