Red Amick

Richard " Red" Amick ( born January 19, 1929 in Kansas City, † 16 May 1995 Crystal River ) was an American race car driver.

Red Amick launched twice at the 500 miles of Indianapolis - belonged from 1950 to 1960 for the Formula 1 World Championship. In 1959, he retired in the 45th round, on a Kurtis Kraft 500C Offenhauser, by an accident. 1960, this time on a Epperly - Offenhauser, he managed the full distance over 200 laps and took the checkered flag in eleventh place. Red Amick drove in the 1950s in the AAA National Series.
