Regina Bianchi

Regina Bianchi (actually Regina d' Antigny; * January 1, 1921 in Lecce, † April 5, 2013 in Rome) was an Italian actress.

Life

Bianchi was born in a theater in Lecce, where their belonging to one originating from France acting dynasty parents appeared and came so early in contact with the stage. After first appearances at the age of eight she was in the season 1938/1939 a first contract with Raffaele Viviani and debuted at the " Teatro Mercadante di Napoli ". In the following two years she established herself as a fixture in the repertoire of the ensemble pieces, but also adopted first film roles. With the director of her second film, Goffredo Alessandrini, they lived together for nearly twenty years and was the mother of two daughters. 1941 Bianchi decided to exclusively devote himself to the theater - she felt the film to be too distant medium for their temperament.
