Regis Toomey

John Regis Toomey ( born August 13, 1898 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, † 12 October 1991 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor.

Life

Regis Toomey was born as one of four children of Francis X. and Mary Ellen Toomey in Pittsburg in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. First, he sought a legal career, but then opted for an artistic career. He became a well-established musical performer.

He studied drama at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a member of Sigma Chi, and eventually became stage actor, as well as on Broadway. He also appeared as a singer on to him an acute laryngitis during a European tour for the task forced.
