Reinhard Sorge

Reinhard Johannes Sorge ( born January 29, 1892 in Rixdorf, today Berlin -Neukölln, † July 20, 1916 in Ablaincourt, Somme ) was a German writer.

Life

Reinhard concern came from middle-class background. He had as a result of the early death of his father left the school and started an apprenticeship, first in a hardware store, then in a bank. Without graduating, he moved back to the school. He left it early because he wanted to follow his literary vein. Under the influence of the works of Henrik Ibsen and Stefan George, he started writing his own plays, poems and essays [ Children of the Earth ( epic- dramatic poetry ), The Old Oak ( Drama ), addition of Lessing's Fragments Spartacus ( essay ) ].

1909 moved the mother with her children to Jena, where care could finish high school, but even more strongly devoted to the literature. He could take educational trips to Sylt and to Berlin. Here he met Susanne Maria Rising factory to know a staff member of the publisher Eugen Diederichs by, whom he married in 1913. His literary activity was during these years helped shape of each other's authors and their personal acquaintance, including Richard Dehmel and Friedrich Nietzsche.

After marriage Reinhard moved with his family to worry Flüelen in Switzerland. He and his wife converted to Catholicism here. Scripture itself Risch concern was at the height of his creative powers.

First, concern reported as a volunteer in the First World War, but was postponed. So he followed 1915, the official convocation. In 1916 he suffered in the Battle of the Somme severe injuries and died at the dressing station in Ablaincourt.
