Reinhard Stumpf

Reinhard Stumpf (* November 26, 1961 in Loveless ) is a former German football player and current football coach.

Playing career

Stump was active as a professional total of 13 years. In Kickers Offenbach he graduated in 1984 in the 2nd Bundesliga his first missions. After a detour to Karlsruher SC in 1987 he returned once more to the open Bachern back. 1989 brought him the 1st FC Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga. With the Palatines in 1990 he was German Cup winner and 1991 champion. The Cup win also represented a real novelty: only a few hours before his sister Daniela Stumpf also won at the same place with the FSV Frankfurt DFB Cup for women. In 1992 he moved to Turkey for Galatasaray Istanbul, where he took a double with a league and cup in 1993 and it was again champion of the year. After these successes, he returned in 1994 to return to Germany. At the 1st FC Cologne, he played two more years in the league before he for not even half a year after Japan went to Brummell Sendai 1996. Back in Germany he joined in 1997 the team of Hannover 96 in the regional league, where he ended his active career.

Coaching career

Seamlessly, he began his coaching career in October 1997 as an assistant coach Otto Rehhagel at the 1 FC Kaiserslautern. After his resignation in October 2000, he became head coach, Andreas Brehme took over during which the post of team manager of the Red Devils. In July 2002, Reinhard Stumpf was released. In the period from December 2002 to May 2007 he acted as assistant coach to the Belgian coach Eric Gerets, first to February 2004 at the 1st FC Kaiserslautern who had brought him back after his release again, then by 2005 at VfL Wolfsburg. The last stop of this vehicle combination was a two-year commitment at Turkish club Galatasaray tradition with which they 2006 Turkish masters were in season 2005 /. In September 2007, Stump took over as the successor to the head coach Fuat Çapa posts in Gençlerbirliği Ankara. His engagement there has already been completed by the end of October. Due to popular discontent, he announced his contract with multiple Tunisian champion in early January, 2012. Between January 2012 he was head coach of the football third division Wacker Burghausen. After he had expressed his ideas on the sporting orientation and perspectives that cooperation was terminated. In July 2013 he again took over the U21 team Al -Hilal in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
