Reinhold Hucker

Reinhold Hucker (* November 15, 1949 in Unterelchingen ) is a former German wrestler.

Career

Hucker comes from a Ringer family, his older brother Joseph was German champion in wrestling. Hucker began at strength training club ( KSV ) Unterelchingen already as a student with the rings. In 1967 he was German youth champion in free style before Peter Neumair from Hallbergmoos and came in Greco-Roman wrestling on the 3rd place, respectively, in the weight category to 78 kg body weight. In the years 1968 to 1970, he won three German Champion title in the junior and was twice runner-up in two styles at middleweight.

German champion in the seniors was Reinhold 1972 in Greco-Roman wrestling in the middleweight division. Hucker, a professional tool maker, later moved to German Bundesliga ASV " Bauknecht " Schorndorf.

In 1971, he was first employed in an international championship. At the World Championships in 1971 in Sofia he came under 26 participants in the Middleweight, Greco-Roman style, to 9th place, where he could defeat the strong wrestler André Bouchoule from France and Jan Kärström from Sweden. At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 and the World Cup 1974 in Katowice, he could no longer fulfill all the expectations placed in him.

After 1974, he no longer competed in championships.
