Reiteralm (Styria)

The Reiteralm in the community Pichl- Preunegg is one of the most famous ski mountains in the upper Enns in Styria. It lies on the north side of Gasslhöhe ( 2,001 m) and goes up to a height of 1,741 m. As for the whole ski around Schladming Planai there is next to / Hochwurzen here two combined ski mountains Reiteralm / Fageralm.

The Reiteralm belongs together with the Hochwurzen, the Planai and Hauser Kaibling the 4 -mountain ski in the Schladming Tauern, the former has a common base terminal with the Reitheralm. The entire ski area is part of the Schladming -Dachstein ski area of the Salzburg Ski amadé.

Main entrance to the ski area is the valley station of the Silver Jets in Gleiming. Furthermore, also result from Pichl ( double chairlift Reiteralm I) and Preunegg ( Preunegg - Jet) from webs in the ski area.

Lift operation

The Reiteralm has

  • 2 cable cars ( Silver jet, Preunegg - Jet)
  • 3 chair lifts ( 6-seater chairlift Gasselhöhe, 4-seater chairlift Sepp'n Jet, double chairlift Reiteralm I)
  • 10 drag and practice lifts ( Reiteralm III, depression lifts, Hasecklifte, connecting lift, rope tow, practice area )

Of slopes

Of the approximately 23 km of pistes, the majority is marked in red, as well as all major descents and all descents. Marked blue slopes are found predominantly in the range of nursery slopes at the mountain station of the Silver Jets. Also highlighted in blue are several ways to bypass drawing medium and heavy sections of piste. Marked black are several rather short runway sections at different locations in the ski resort.
