Remember Me, My Love

Ricordati di me (German: " Remember me " ) is an Italian film from 2003 about the emotional problems of a four-strong middle class family. Gabriele Muccino directed by ( One last kiss, 2001, The Pursuit of Happyness, 2006).

Action

Carlo and Giulia Ristuccia have been married for twenty years. Carlo works without any interest in his job as a financial advisor and dreams of completing his first novel, which is a fragment in the drawer for years. His wife finds the book not good. Giulia is a teacher and would like to record again, but she lacks the courage to their previous work in the theater. During a dispute claiming Carlo, they have been good as an actress anyway nothing. The 17 -year-old Valentina wants to make a career in front of the camera, but her mother is against it. Valentina says Giulia is merely jealous of her own daughter. In a mass casting for an engagement as a dancer in a TV show to fall through, but can establish promising contacts. My 18- year-old brother Paolo has unhappily in love with a classmate, but not answered him because of his inferiority complex.

In a class reunion Carlo meets his childhood sweetheart Alessia again that he has not seen in six years. Alessia puts himself in an unhappy marriage fixed with two small children. The New York Times called the film a crude but innovative blend of farce, satire and drama. Ricordati di me is a loud film and the appropriate portrait of a superficial culture in which one had to shout to be heard. Nicoletta Romanoff play the most disturbing role in the film, stealing their partners more or less the show and was absolutely credible " as an Italian post- Britney Material Girl ".

Background

Ricordati di me, shot with a budget of approximately 5 million euros, reached after the premiere on 11 February 2003 in Italy's cinema more than 1.6 million viewers. In Germany the film was in September 2003 in the official program at the Hamburg Film Festival under its original title. Under the program title Ricordati di me - What I wanted was the film in 2005 as part of the touring festival " Cinema! Italia! " Shown in numerous German Cinema in original version with subtitles. 2004, the film as a Region 2 DVD re-appeared under the title Ricordati di me with German and French subtitles.
