Gabriele Muccino

Gabriele Muccino Ottorino ( born May 20, 1967 in Rome ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter.

Muccino broke off a study of literature at the Sapienza University and was a volunteer assistant to film directors Pupi Avati and as Marco Risi. In the advertising film industry, he worked with Fabrizio Costa. In 1992 he attended courses fpr screenwriters at Leo Benvenuti, enrolled at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and produced three short films that aired on RAI in their mission mixer. Also for television directed Muccino posts for Ultimo minuto and starring Stefania Rocca in the lead role of the short film Io e Giulia.

After gaining experience as a director of Soap Opera episodes and as a documentarian he wore with the suona il piano episode Max at the 1996 incurred Intolerance. In 1998 he released his first feature film for the cinema, Ecco fatto. From 2002 to 2006 Muccino was married to Elena Majoni, with whom he has a son. He has a second son from a previous relationship with actress Eugenia Di Napoli. Muccino's younger brother Silvio is also a film director.
