Rémy Riou

Rémy Riou ( born August 6, 1987 in Lyon ) is a French football player. The goalkeeper plays since summer 2012 for the French second division club FC Nantes.

Career

Association

His professional career began in 2005 when the French first division club Olympique Lyon. For Lyon, he came only in the reserve team used and won with the team the championship of the reserve teams of the 2006 Championnat de France amateur. The 2006/07 season he played on loan at FC Lorient Erstligakonkurrenten before 2007, he moved to AJ Auxerre, where he has to be used regularly. In summer 2011 it was announced that he will change within France for Toulouse FC. Without a commitment to the team he joined a year later at the FC Nantes.

National

Riou won with the French U -17 with a 2-1 victory over Spain, the U-17 European Championships in 2004, remained during the tournament as a reserve goalkeeper behind Benoît Costil but no use. In the following years he was also appointed to the U- 19 and U -21 France.
