Renato Dirnei Florêncio

Renato Dirnei Florencino, known as Renato ( born May 15, 1979 in Santa Mercedes, São Paulo) is a Brazilian footballer who currently stands at Botafogo FR under contract.

Renato has played more games in 29 countries. Three of the Confederations Cup in 2005, twelve in the 2006 World Cup qualifiers, a friendly match in 2004 and six games at the Copa America in Peru in 2004. He also was a member of the Brazilian squad for the 2006 World Cup. In addition, Renato entered seven times in the UEFA Cup at the Sevilla FC (2004/ 05). Before he moved to Spain, he played in Brazil at FC Santos and Guarani FC. Renato has dual citizenship in Brazil and Spain.

On 26 May 2011 it was announced that Renato changes with immediate effect to his home to Botafogo FR. There he signed a three -year contract.
