Renault-Elf-Gitane

Renault was a French cycling team, which existed under the name Renault and Renault Elf Gitane 1978-1985.

The team was at the time one of the most successful. So it was six times the Tour de France, the Giro d' Italia and Vuelta a España twice the gain twice. Also, get victories at various classics and world championships.

Directed by Guimard, the young Bernard Hinault became one of the best cyclists of his time. From the beginning of the career Hinaults 1975 until his transition to team La Vie Claire in 1984, the two worked together very successfully.
