René Bader

René Bader ( born August 7, 1922 in the Switzerland ) is a former Swiss football player and coach. He played as a striker.

He played 1946-1953 for FC Basel. In 1947 Basel won the Swiss Cup Final in Neufeld Stadium in Bern 3-0 against Lausanne. Paul Stöcklin firing shots two goals and one Bader. In 1950, the FCB was runner-up behind Servette Geneva.

Between 1952 and 1995, and again during the 1958/59 season Bader was involved twice as coach at Basel. In the season 1952/53, the first championship title was won in the club's history. After just one defeat from 26 matches had under player-manager Bader four points clear of the Young Boys Bern. The Squad Bader had available were Werner Schley, Walter Müller, Walter Bannwart, Walter Bielser, Werner Bopp, Hans Ruedi skein, Hans Hügi, Josef " Seppe " Hügi, Kurt Maurer, Georges Mogoy, Peter Redolfi, Kurt Thalmann, Hans Weber and itself

He played in the national team at the World Cup 1950 in Brazil. In the final group match on July 2 at the Estádio dos Eucaliptos, Porto Alegre, he scored the first goal as the Switzerland of the team from Mexico defeated 2-1.
