René Froger

René Froger ( born November 5, 1960 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch singer. He got in his homeland numerous gold and platinum records. The texts of his pop-rock pieces he sings mostly in English, but there are also Dutch title from him.

First musical performances had Froger in his father's cafe. From the mid- 1980s first singles from it came on the market. With winter in America 1988, he had his first Top 10 hit in the Netherlands. A year later he had as a guest singer with the group Het Goede Doel with all kan een mens gelukkig maken his first No. 1 hit. In the 1990s, he had four number-one albums. In 2005 he joined the band De Toppers and took this part in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2009.
