Rene Mlekuž

Rene Mlekuz ( born August 25, 1975 in Slovenska Bistrica ) is a former Slovenian skier.

Career

Mlekuz began his international career at the Junior World Championships in 1993 and 1994, where he still went to the start in all alpine disciplines. Later he specialized in the technical disciplines of slalom and giant slalom.

Between 1995 and 2004 he played more than 80 World Cup races. Five times he reached the top ten. The only placement on the podium was a second place in the slalom of Veysonnaz on 21 January 1996.

He took in 1996, 1997 and 2001 participated in the Alpine World Ski Championships and in 2001 at the World Championships in St. Anton fifth. In 2002 he was a member of the Slovenian Olympic Team at the Winter Games in Salt Lake City. There he was in the slalom at the start and was eliminated in the second run from.
