Reńska Wieś, Kędzierzyn-Koźle County

Reinsch village (Polish Renska Wies ) is a village in the powiat Kędzierzyńsko - Kozielski in the Opole Voivodeship. Reinsch village has about 1,800 inhabitants and is the capital of the homonymous country church with about 8,500 inhabitants.

Geography

Reinsch village located in southern Poland, in Upper Silesia, 40 kilometers southeast of Opole and southwest of the county town Kędzierzyn -Koźle, part of the city Koźle it is only 2 kilometers away. Reinsch village is served by two Polish state roads to the Czech Republic: The DK45 and DK38 the branching here from DK45 to the southwest.

History

For the year 1532 Rinska has survived as a place name.

In the 19th and early 20th century, the city experienced a boom. Reinsch village along the avenue of the city Leobschutz Cosel whose Oderhafen developed into one of the largest inland ports in the German Empire. 1864 Rübenzuckerfarbik was created with two steam engines in Reinsch village. 1882 was followed by the connection to the railway network. The route Cosel Bauerwitz but was now decommissioned.

Since 1742 Reinsch village belonged to Prussia and had been assigned to the county in 1816 Cosel. Ecclesiastically the place belonged to the founding of a separate parish in 1928 to the city parish of St. Sigismund Cosel. 1861 a neo-Gothic chapel was built in the village. However, a separate church was the only place in 1924-26. The present parish church of St. Urban was rebuilt in 1979-80.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 940 votes were cast ( 87.6 %) to remain with Germany in Reinsch village, 133 votes were for connection to Poland. Consequently, the village remained in the Weimar Republic.

After the Second World War, the city fell in 1945 as Renska Wies in Poland and since 1973 the municipal center.

Since not all German inhabitants fled or were driven out, was able to maintain a German minority in the area. Since 2006, the village commune Reinsch officially bilingual ( German and Polish) applies. According to the last census in Poland 2002, 34.93 % of the population German, other 2.58% described themselves as " Silesians " and 5.9 % did not specify their nationality. On January 11, 2011, also led a community official German place names.
