Biography

Joswig grew up in Neubrandenburg, where he was expelled in 1980, shortly before graduating from school. He moved a little later to Berlin and worked as a roadie. On the night school he met Dr. Höfer Dead, with whom he started to write music. In spring 1987, they founded with some other musicians autumn in Beijing. From the beginning, the band had problems with the state authorities based on their name ( the Ministry of Culture feared diplomatic complications with China ) and the non-conforming political standpoint Joswigs. He often began concerts with the sentence "Today is the day that breaks down the system - we celebrate this day ." In July 1989, the band's appearance permission was withdrawn after Joswig had called just before on the Brandenburger Rocknacht a minute's silence for the victims of the massacre on Tiananmen Square.

Joswig traveled to Budapest in October 1989, and from there to West Berlin. In early 1990, he moved back to East Berlin and founded the first independent record company in the GDR: Beijing Records. He hosted from 1991 to 1998, the radio broadcast limit point zero on MDR Sputnik. Limit point zero is continued since 2006 moderationslos as " Sputnik Insomnia".

He now lives in Berlin and works as a freelance artist, musician, producer and DJ - inter alia at Kaffee Burger.
