Rhipsime

Hripsime also Rhipsima, Armenian Հռիփսիմէ (* in Rome † 300 in Vagharshapat, better known under its former name Etchmiadzin ), is a consecrated virgin and martyr, venerated particularly in the Armenian Apostolic Church as a saint.

Legend

According to tradition, Hripsime to have been the granddaughter or niece of Proto Nike ( Patronike ), the wife of the Roman Emperor Claudius and thus have a member of the Julio- Claudian imperial house.
