Rhoda Broughton

Rhoda Broughton ( born November 29, 1840 in Denbigh, Wales, † June 5, 1920 in Headington Hill at Oxford) was a Welsh entertainment writer.

Life

Rhoda Broughton was the niece of the famous writer Sheridan le Fanu. It was made by her family early in the literature carefully and promoted accordingly by her uncle. Her first novel was published in LeFanus journal Dublin Review. As an author Broughton has been very successful in their time and even scandal- because their mostly young heroines were quite physical desires. Her last years she spent in Headington Hill, where she also died.

Works
