Rhonda Vincent
Rhonda Vincent ( born July 13, 1962 in Kirksville, Missouri) is an American country & bluegrass singer and musician.
Career
Vincent began at the age of five drums in the ' Sally Mountain Show' to play, a band that consisted of members of their family. At the age of eight, she learned mandolin and with ten years was added violin lessons.
As before, she appeared with her family on the weekends at various Country Festival. With about 25 years she received the opportunity to put in the show " You Can Be a Star" show off their skills. This show was broadcast on the channel TNN throughout the United States, and so began her solo career. Among other things, she took with Jim Ed Brown of the Grand Ole Opry a song and received a recording contract with Rebel Records.
By working with Jim Ed Brown and published in Rebel Records albums they got the attention of James Stroud, president of Giant Records in Nashville. This took Rhonda Vincent under contract. After two albums at Giant, she moved to Rounder Records. Your there released album "Back Home Again" reflected her love and enthusiasm for traditional country music, had grown up with, clearly reflected.
Due to a car accident Rhonda Vincent could not go as planned to attend an audition in Nashville in December 1999. Via Internet has she culled their current band and gave it the name "Rage ". She has now earned itself a good reputation in various bluegrass festivals. Through their rocking, energetic show and the modern bluegrass songs in the luggage she recounted the turn of the millennium in addition to Alison Krauss and Laurie Lewis to the most prominent bluegrass artists. In 2001, published album "The Storm Still Rages " was nominated for seven awards of the International Bluegrass Music Association. In the years 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003, she was awarded by the same institution as the best bluegrass singer of the year, 2001, she was " Best Entertainer of the Year ".
Since 2003, reaching each of their albums either No. 1 or No. 2 in the U.S. Bluegrass charts. With the album Taken in 2010 she came for the first time in the official album charts.
