Rhys Taylor

Rhys Francis Taylor ( born April 7, 1990 in Neath ) is a Welsh football goalkeeper who is currently at Macclesfield Town under contract.

Career

Association

Rhys Taylor has already played for the youth academy of FC Chelsea, was reconstructed in 2007 but a professional contract. He mainly plays in the reserve team, but could sometimes even take an injury on the bench of the court professionals. In November 2009 he was awarded the Queens Park Rangers. However, the loan ended on 4 January 2010 without having played a single game. During the 2009/10 season he was used several times as a goalkeeper for the reserve team.

In June 2010, he trained during the pre-season at Crewe Alexandra and got the release from Chelsea FC for a Leihphase. The loan period was initially for two months, with the possibility of extension until end of the season. Taylor hoped to get more match practice at Crewe Alexandra by injury to goalkeeper Steve Phillips. On July 6, he moved initially for two months to Crewe Alexandra. Only six days later, he completed in a friendly match his first game for Alexandra, where he remained without conceding a goal in the 4-0 victory. Subsequently, the loan period was extended until the end of season and was planned by Taylor goalkeeper.

On January 2, Chelsea announced that Taylor will be borrowed for one month to Rotherham United. On the same day he completed his debut in the 3-0 win against Bradford City. On January 31, the loan agreement was extended until the end of the season.

At the end of the loan period Taylor returned to Chelsea back, his expiring contract was, however, as well as the contracts of Jose Bosingwa and Salomon Kalou are not renewed and they left the club on June 1.

After his release, he moved to Chelsea first contract-free for Preston North End. But after he was allowed to take only twice on the bench, he hired the unterklassigen club Macclesfield Town, as a replacement for the injured Lance Cronin. On 1 February, he made his league debut for Macclesfield in a 4-0 win over Ebbsfleet United. Since his debut he is goalkeeper for Macclesfield and for the 2013/14 season he signed a new contract.

National

In 2004, he first played for the U- 17 until 2006, he came up with nine international appearances. From 2006 to 2009, he completed three games for the U- 19th 2008 Taylor was nominated at the age of 17 years of coach Brian Flynn for Welsh U -21. Flynn said he had a great future ahead of him and would be a candidate for the position in the goal of the Welsh national football team.
