Ri Myong-guk

Ri Myong- guk (born 9 September 1986) is a North Korean football goalkeeper.

Career

The goalkeeper has performed internationally as a player of the sports group Pyongyang in appearance.

Ri was 2007, during the qualification for the Olympic Football Tournament goalkeeper but failed with his team in the final qualifying round to Australia and Iraq. Since 2007, Ri is also in the North Korean national team inserts. In the final round of the East Asian Championship 2008, he was honored as the best goalkeeper in 2009, he failed with the team in the qualifying round.

In the successful qualification for the 2010 World Cup Ri came as North Korea goalkeeper to a total of 15 appearances and conceded only five goals here. At the World Cup finals Ri was used in all three group games but had it with twelve goals conceded suffered most of all tournament participants; including a 0:7 against Portugal, the highest international match defeat of North Korea.
