Rib-Hadda

Rib-Addi was a king of Byblos, who reigned about 1375 to 1355 BC. He is known exclusively from the so-called Amarna correspondence. More than 60 letters to the Egyptian king Amenhotep III. Akhenaten and are received from him (of which, however, some twice ). This information about the political situation in Lebanon and this time mainly report of struggles of the individual States in the area. Main enemies of Rib-Addi were Abdi- Aschirta and his son Aziru of Amurru. Rib-Addi asked several times at two Egyptian kings for help after he had lost parts of his territory.
